I'm seriously obsessed with the Buddha Bookends from Pier 1 Imports. They look so rustic and vintage, and they only cost me $25!! I don't actually use them as bookends, but they make great decor pieces for different spots of my room.
Another cute way to spice up a boring space is by picking up some fake plants. They're cute and don't require the maintenance of a real plant. Ikea has amazing ones, but I got lucky at Home Goods! I found this plant for under $10.
An insanely easy way to decorate a room is with your own clothes! I purchased this clothing rack at Target for a steal and used it to display my favorite clothing pieces. If you want to know where these items are from, check out this post!
This is definitely one of my favorite parts of my room: my photo wall! What I did was simple: I found some of my favorite photos from Tumblr and printed them out in black and white to match my room's color scheme. I used electrical tape to attach them to the wall. The tape makes it look so 90's to me, and it doesn't damage the paint on your wall. In the center I used poster mounts to attach my signed The 1975 flat to the wall, which ties the collage together.
This is my desk, where I spend a lot of my time doing work. I need a lot of this space for that, so I kept it as simple as possible. I placed my favorite fake plant on top of two small fashion books to give my desk a chic look.
A simple way to decorate that is extremely budget friendly is using magazines as decorative pieces. I stacked two of my recent NYLON issues onto my desk with a book, and it makes the desk look put together and stylish.
Here is another shelf on my bookshelf, that actually houses books! I picked up this cute elephant candle from Home Goods to use as a decor piece, but it works amazingly as a bookend!
Mason Jars are probably my favorite way to decorate a room. They're inexpensive and fun to DIY or fill with things. In the smaller jar I cut up an old Ikea plant that was looking boring to me and I put the flowers and leaves inside the jar. I think it looks so cute, and it's more interesting than a normal plant.
In the larger jar I did something a little different and creative. I had so many old concert and Broadway show tickets I wanted to put on display, but I had nowhere to put them! I found this jar lying around collecting change, and I decided to empty it out and store all of the tickets in it! It looks awesome to me, and I can display all of my memories while having them still be decorative.
